Poem: A Portrait Of My Boy

A word picture of my son:
just a slice of hurry-scurry life
of "dramedy" that is every little boy!

Higgledy-piggledy… greet the new day…
Run on… run on… any… any which way…
Race around at breakneck speeds…
The madcap adventurer never heeds.
Worried warnings oft shouted at his head…
Loud and long ’til " Oi! " mother’s face is red!
Happy-go-lucky, he races headlong…
All willy-nilly and devil-may-care…
Lickety-split, he’s out on a limb…
’Til he’ll crash and tumble in th’old mud puddle!
All topsy-turvey… his butt in the air…
With a squelching giggle and grunt, he crows,
“That was so AWESOME!! Let’s do it again!

"That was so AWESOME! Let's do it again!"
