An Eagle Soars…

Feelin’ the cold blue silence of forever
Another voice in the soundtrack of our lives
Flyin’ with a billion stars all around1
An Eagle soars to join the Starman

Our heart keeps sayin' it's just not fair2
Hearts are achin’, feelin’ like screamin’
The music’s fleein’ this old cold world
Bells should be ringing this sad, sad news3
Feelin’ the cold blue silence of forever
While Death carries another legend away

Feelin’ the cold blue silence of forever
Another voice in the soundtrack of our lives
Flyin’ with a billion stars all around1
An Eagle soars to join the Starman

Lent to us we forgot, now lifted high
Frey-man took flight to join heaven’s band
Soaring with a billion stars all around1
The music shimmers in every star we see
Gives him wings to climb high and far
Nothing made him turn around and stay4
An Eagle soars to join the Starman

Feelin’ the cold blue silence of forever
Another voice in the soundtrack of our lives
Flyin’ with a billion stars all around1
An Eagle soars to join the Starman

Frey-man gave us the best of his music5
Singin’ the vict’ry song, he’s already gone8
And we just can’t hide our cryin’ eyes6
We’ll dance to remember, Won’t ever forget7
Feelin’ the cold blue silence of forever
As Death carries another legend away

Feelin’ the cold blue silence of forever
Another voice in the soundtrack of our lives
Flyin’ with a billion stars all around1
An Eagle soars to join the Starman

Starman

The Starman has taken flight,
Broken the bonds of earth
Set sail toward Heaven’s height

And the stars look very different today1
Our imagination’s a bit lonelier
Now our shining Starman has gone away

There’s a Starman waiting in the sky2
Each psychedelic tear’s a rainbow
Falling now from our lonely mind’s eye

Tell my *world I love her very much **earth knows1
The Starman painted with his inspiration
Ever ‘pon us his kaleidoscopic vision bestows

Dancing dreams of what more may be
The stars are never far away3
And the Starman will always fly free

Through the kingdom of the ghost4
Leaving words with something to say
Starman’s shredding with a ghostly host

We’re not ready to let go, we say
Let him sail back *to-us tonight4
But, Major Tom led him home today

Beaten, bold, golden inspiration…
Golden sensation by new day’s light…
A pinch of midnight… sprinkling down…
Falling crystal cascade… like stars…
‘Pon this golden inspiration…
Frothing gold and silky white…
Blending to fill my expectation…
The sunlit moon-high sky looks on…
Peeking, prodding bright morn’s dawn…
This and that and just a touch…
Of who knows where fancy lies…
Sizzling… melting… lost in ecstasy…
Slide ‘pon my plate and fill me!
Ahhhh! My cheesy delectation!
